Nearer

One of the most attractive tours , with good weather, is the tour around The Walls on The Walls. Following the corridors our ancestors may have walked to defend the town.
Things get a different perspective and help you contact views that are almost impossible for our human sight.

The work of the ancient craftmen, almost embroidery, the different materials, the architecture secrets.

Our animal neighbours. Everything nearer, you could even dream of touching them.
Don't miss the opportunity of getting closer to our heritage. Climbing the stairs is worthy!

Our towns are so different! Although Bucharest has been a capital for five and a half centuries, it was never a real fortress. It had a fortified Royal Court, but this was abandoned in the 18th century and the walls are almost completely destroyed.
Our city has always been surrounded by another kind of fortifications, even though partly ruined now, a living one: forests. Unlike yours, our “walls” are alive, ever-changing, mortal and, maybe, humble. We can’t climb them and look down from up there, but we can enter them, smell the grass, listen to the wind, meet our “animal neighbours” and even meet ourselves.
But, like your walls, they need constant care, respect and love. Unfortunately, they seldom get them.
