I like the idea of people invading the streets after such a big attack from cars. Unfortunately, it is always just a gesture. something punctual, temporary. Because, what are we ready to sacrifice to make streets "walkable" again? I used to play in the street. Play, that's to say, being there for the sake of being there, without any specific goal. Just, playing. Impossible now. As in other aspects, it would require a social revolution and are we ready for it? anyway, congratulations for such a civilian idea.
It's going on on an old street, every year for 3 days. This was the 3rd or the 4th. Have you noticed the number of young people taking part? it's their idea. They are aware and active. So, there is hope. I too played in the street. Special games, invented just for that. Or they seemed so. Actually, I uploaded this post in the wrong blog...:)
