horses in town

Yesterday evening, late because it had been a very hot day, we went for a walk in town. el Rastro was full with people. There is a stock fair and people were looking for clothes, shoes, toys and accessories for better prices. There was a redish light in the horizon.

all of a sudden, when we got to San Vicente we saw a group of people of horse. We came near. It was a new summer night activity. It was a reading about Santa Teresa. They would visit places connected with the saint, following a riding path.

There were two or three wagons with children and horses.

Some of the horses were really beautiful and strong, even nervous because of the flashes. They listened to the reading at that point. It dealt with the saint's birth and family details.

Then they entered the town through San Vicente Gate towards the Cathedral.
We took the other way looking for a terrrace to have dinner. it was not an easy affair, everybody was out.

Was it an activity only in your town, or something like a pilgrimage? Interesting- I never thought of such a way of doing it.
Do many people have horses and/or ride over there?
I have always dreamed of learning to ride- one more unaccomplished dream.
We spent the evening at the vet's with the "Tasmanian devil"- that's how they nicknamed her there.

I had never seen it either. I think it is something new. there had been a Horse Morphology contest, where the best horses around are shown and it was the end activity but it does not belong to any pilgrimage or similar.
Yes, there are many people who have horses nearby and there is a good riding school in NaturĂ¡vila.
How's your Non-Tasmanian Devil? any better? I hope so.
Have a better day today without vet's visit.

She isn't any better so far. But her problems are not to be described here.
Anyway, with 6 people holding her still (while sedated!) they managed to give her a scan and draw blood-her abdomen is filled with... something unknown. We have to repeat it in 2 weeks. It was a trauma- for everyone involved.

It's not a Tasmanian devil, it's worse- a Romanian one- Dracula's cat! :D
