How pretty! I love yellow cats! Always wanted one. And yellow cats are always tabby, the combination of genes does not allow solid colour (just as 3 colours cats-calico- are never males). "Mum" has a nice face, cats have such different faces. The gray one is like Tsuni.
We have a saying: such a bad mother as a cat, yet cats are very good mothers.

The theory is true, and there is more: if by accident a calico male is born, he is sterile. And one more: white blue-eyed cats are often deaf.
If genetics is so interesting in cats, I imagine it's much better in humans. Some day, when I am old and have lots of time, this will be a thing to dig into.
