Space Race
This was our Space Race activity today, a simple one, just to see them at work. We spent one hour building the "vehicles" and another one launching them, measuring, calculating (a bit of statistics and physics) and filling in worksheets. Tomorrow we will draw conclusions and announce the winners.
By the way, these are the kids for ATOM and this is my classroom this year.
I hope they had fun.

I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as the pupils did. Activities like these are really educational and funny. Do they have to go on working on the topic? Did they hayve to write a report about the day or something similar?
Congratulations
Thanks.
They won't go on, it was just a short activity for World Space Week. Not quite reports, but answer some questions and draw some conclusions from the calculations, on the factors influencing the vehicles and what they did well or could improve. It's an important pat of the activity.
One of the teams was really angry, their vehicle did not move at all and it was destroyed. :)
I have a sore throat from all that yelling. :)
