El Castañar

This is an ancient forest in El Tiemblo. All kind of nut trees grow together with berry bushes. There are also fruit trees, osme of them have become wild. Romans are said to have planted many of these trees in order to ensure nutrition for legions moving from one place to another.
It is always a real pleasure to walk among the trees and listen to the tales you have heard in your childhood and feel the same fears and joys.
Forests dwell in us launching energy, feeding us with their strength from the beginning of the times.

Beautiful photos and nice strange music. What is it? Who?

They are a folk group Jabardeus. They study and play ancient instruments and mix them with modern ones. They are quite bohemian. If you remember fromt he Medieval Market videos, it is the group that always accompanies the parades and dress in a funny way.
I chose this music because it is kind of tribal with so much percussion and it seemed to suit these trees.

Yes, they sounded a bit familiar to me. Are they from Avila?
It suits the trees, that is- being there forever.
Strangely, the idea that something will still be here when I'm gone is no longer scary to me. On the contrary, it's comforting.

in a certain way, trees are the measure to understand our temporary situation on the planet.
